Why does my dog keep pacing and licking?
Pacing and licking the floor are signs often associated with stomach irritation or upset. In many cases, dogs seem to seek out dust, dirt, hair or grass to eat when they have stomach irritation, and this may help to soothe the stomach or it may allow them to vomit, nobody knows for sure what the mechanisms are.
