Can my dog go to daycare with a cough?
If your dog is coughing or hacking for an extended period of time (several days), we kindly ask that you do not bring him into daycare.
Is kennel cough common in daycare?
The most common places that dogs can contract Kennel Cough are anywhere that multiple dogs gather such as; veterinary offices, dog parks, training classes, pet stores, and yes, doggy daycare. As contagious as it is, Kennel Cough is very treatable and does not pose serious risks for most dogs.

Although most cases of kennel cough will resolve without treatment, medications may speed recovery or minimize symptoms during the course of infection. These include antibiotics that target Bordetella bacteria and cough medicines.
Can I leave my dog home alone if he has kennel cough?
Never leave your dog alone in a steamy room or force them to stay in it if they aren’t relaxed. Keep your dog away from others – remember your dog will be very contagious whilst they are poorly and can continue to spread kennel cough for 2-3 weeks after their symptoms have cleared.
