Can African GREY parrots stay outside?
They can tolerate quite a wide range of temperature but it is important not to subject them to sudden temperature changes. They can get acclimatised to living outside. I have seen Greys in the UK who live in outdoor aviaries. A member once went to a parrot sanctuary here and saw African Greys outside in the snow!
How big should an African GREY aviary be?
As a rule of thumb, allow for a length equivalent to twice the span of a parrot’s fully extended wings, per bird. The height should be at least twice the length of the largest bird; but ideally you should go for at least a metre and a half to ensure a good flying and climbing space.
