Why did my new GloFish die?
Fish produce ammonia and it take about a month tomdevelop enough good bacteria to counteract this ammonia. Unless you were doing lots of water changes (the general rule is 20-30% at a time) ammonia will spike and your fish will die.
How long should I leave my GloFish light on?

Your point about over crowding at Walmart (I”m so glad we don’t have them here) is a good point, these fish might be coming to you in a weakened state….how long had you had them for? Lets just not say not for very long, maybe a few days, or a week, then more glo fish keep dying.
How big do Glo fish grow to be?
Glofish can grow up to 2 inch long so they might be bitting each other because they are cramped sense there are only 4 fish now i would recommend keeping an eye on them.

Why are my Glo fish dying on the bottom?

I had 5 glo fish, then bought another one, anyway one day I woke up to find 2 glo fish dead on the bottom of the tank, which I got out of the fish tank. Right now platy looks fine, glo fish fins are not clamped, they eat and swim.
