I am happy to see them prowling around in the tall grass I let grow in my yard for the birds. The chukars run under my feet when I am feeding so I am really careful. I’m not sure that taking a sick day off to care for a pet is such a great idea, but if your boss is at all understanding, s/he will understand if your pet is sick, has to be brought to the vet, and needs some extra care at home.
