Can animals see dreams?
While any pet owner knows that animals seem to dream, and studies show that animals’ brains follow the same series of sleeping states as ours do, this is the first time that researchers know what animals are dreaming about.
Do all mammals dream while sleeping?
In people, dreaming occurs during rapid-eye movement, or REM sleep, which most mammals also experience. So “it is reasonable to suppose that animals have something like what we call dreams,” says Patrick McNamara, director of the Evolutionary Neurobehavior Laboratory at Boston University.

A dreaming blind person experiences more sensations of sound, touch, taste, and smell than sighted people do. Blind people are also more likely to have certain types of dreams than sighted people. For example, blind people seem to experience more dreams about movement or travel7 and more nightmares.
Can dogs smell while sleeping?
Many dogs smell bad all the time but the reason they seem to be so smelly during sleep isn’t that they are smelly, but because of one, their proximity to you and two, the absence of other smells. During the day, your dog is up and about and so are you.
Why do we forget dreams?
WE FORGET almost all dreams soon after waking up. Our forgetfulness is generally attributed to neurochemical conditions in the brain that occur during REM sleep, a phase of sleep characterized by rapid eye movements and dreaming. But that may not be the whole story.
