What ate my day lilies? I have a few of these but don’t know the name. I went out the other day to cut a couple for my table and they were GONE!

Hi Jennifer – Red lily leaf beetles feed almost exclusively on plants in the lilium family. This only includes true lilies such as Asiatic and Oriental lilies, and fritillarias. Daylilies is a common name for hemerocallis. These plants are not related to true lilies, so it’s likely some other pest is bothering them.
