Do cats get sad when you take their babies?
Depression in cats is often a temporary response to a change in their life. Some cats are quite sensitive, and they can experience mild depression over what seem to us like small things, such as moving their litter box or outfitting them with a new collar.
While it may feel like a mother cat will be upset that her kittens will be taken away, cats don’t think the same way people do. In fact, it’s not uncommon for the mother cat to become uncomfortable with the presence of her kittens after they are weaned and growl at them if they remain for too long.

Why did the Stray Cat keep coming back?
The cat kept coming back. We’d see it squeeze through the gate into the garden as it went on its morning walk. If we attempted to get within 40 metres, it would simply turn on its heels and run away. Still, we got close enough to see that it was on the small side, and a bit skinny.And its behaviour suggested it was wild, or a stray at least.
How long does it take for a stray cat to get to you?
