Some species, like Dwarf, Redeye and Golden Puffers, can be kept together or with other fast-moving fish like danios. Others, such as Mekong, Nile and Mbu Puffers, must be kept solitary. For the most part, freshwater puffers should be considered species tank fish.

Can dwarf pea puffers jump?
I have had them for some time now. I have never seen any jump and have never lost any from jumping. My tank has not always been an open top tank though. I have never seen them get aggressive towards other fish at all, not once.
How many puffers are in a 30 gallon Amazon?
I do honestly feel that properly maintained, you could manage 6 specimens in a tank that size. We’re only talking about, what, 6 x 2.5 = 15 inches of fish in total, for a 30 gallon tank.
